About
My Name is Jason Smith. I am a fifth grade teacher at West Chatham Elementary School. My class presented our class podcast with the AASU ETC at the 2010 Capitol Tech Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. I have used many forms of technology in my classroom, including blogs, wikis, podcasts, and photo stories. I currently hold a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and working to recieve my Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning. I was named Savannah-Chatham School District Co-Teaching Team of the Year in 2007-2008 and West Chatham Elementary School Co-Teaching Team of the year in 2009-2010.
I am married to a beautiful woman who is also a teacher. We have known each other since high school, and were married in June of 2007. We have two dogs and two cats who keep us very busy. One of our dogs believes he is a goat because he thinks he can eat anything from drywall to cell phones to power cords. We also have the clumsiest cat in the world. I believe I can count on one hand the number of times he has been able to make jump onto our kitchen counter without knocking something over or falling off.
